On June 1, 1987, Commercial Metals Company (CMC) acquired Alamo Steel Company, renaming it CMC Steel Fabricators, Inc. During this time, the facility continued to grow its capabilities and expand its services, maintaining its role as a leader in the steel fabrication industry.

On January 2, 2018, Alamo Structural Steel, LLC was established as a subsidiary of FabSouth, LLC. Shortly after, on April 2, 2018, the company acquired the structural steel fabrication assets of CMC Steel Fabricators, Inc., bringing Alamo Steel back to its roots with a renewed focus on innovation, customer service, and quality. For over 75 years, this facility has stood as a symbol of strength and reliability in steel fabrication, serving countless clients from its original location.
